Frequently asked questions

Sometimes the hardest part is asking.

A first job. A son's future. A daughter who wants to study further. A small shop that needs one more pair of hands. Behind every question is a hope — and we know that reaching out, sharing what you need, trusting that someone will actually listen, takes courage. The questions below come from real people who took that step. We've tried to answer them the way we'd want to be answered ourselves — honestly, simply, and without hiding anything.

Is this really free? Will you ever ask me for money?

Yes, completely free. We will never ask you for any fee — not for registration, not for matching, not for ‘premium access,’ not ever. If anyone claiming to represent Saarthi asks you for money, please report it to us on WhatsApp immediately. Our entire model is built on being free.

How long will it take to find me a job? How does the matching work?

There's no manual process involved in matching. We've built an AI-powered multilingual system that runs on a weekly basis, finding the best match based on inputs from both sides — job seekers and employers.

Most matches are shared within 1–2 weekly runs, sent directly to you on WhatsApp. If nothing fits yet, your profile stays in the system and is considered every week.

We built it this way for one reason: so every person gets a fair, unbiased chance — and so the solution can scale as we grow.

What if you can't find anything for me?

It happens. Sometimes there's no local demand for a specific skill, or your area isn't yet covered by our employer network. If that's the case, we'll tell you honestly — and may suggest free skill courses (in our Resources section) that could open more matches. We don't make false promises.

How do I know the candidates are reliable?

Saarthi doesn't do background checks — we connect, you decide. Treat our matches like a recommendation from a community contact. We do encourage candidates to register honestly, but you should always interview, check references locally, and trust your own judgment before hiring.

What if the person I hire doesn't show up or quits?

It happens — especially in early matches. Saarthi doesn't guarantee retention, but we want to know if it becomes a pattern. If your hire walks away after a day or doesn't show up, message us on WhatsApp with what happened. We'll send a fresh shortlist, and we'll quietly stop matching candidates who repeatedly do this. Honesty has to cut both ways.

Can my company partner with Saarthi?

Yes — we work with companies in three ways: (1) hiring matched candidates, (2) sponsoring skill workshops in rural schools, (3) CSR funding for specific programs. Write to us at contact@saarthitrust.org with what you have in mind.

Who is behind Saarthi Trust?

A small team of alumni from IITs, IIMs, AIIMS and NLUs — most of us grew up in towns and villages and understand the gap between ability and opportunity. You can meet the team on our About page. We are registered as a Trust under the Indian Trusts Act.

How can I become a Saarthi?

You don't need to be from Jhalawar or even from India — you can help from wherever you are. There are four ways: mentor a student (even one honest conversation a month can change a young person's choices), share job leads if you run a business or know someone hiring, donate to keep our WhatsApp infrastructure running (we're a registered Trust and can issue receipts), or just spread the word — most of our registrations come from a friend telling someone. Message us on WhatsApp and tell us which one fits you.
